And the baron took over the city after the old lord died, so it may be coincidence that his name is Frank. Francis would be his actual name, Frank being a hypocorism or whatever. Interestingly the name "Frank" predates "Francis" I think, Frank originating some time between 3rd and 9th century AD, with Francis originating in the 1100s. So both are period-possible. I could be wrong though.
