Also you can double click on an item in your inventory to swap it with an already equipped slot. Like if you already have a helmet on, you can double click a helmet in your inventory and it will instantly swap it on, so you don't have to manually unequip then equip

Not very. Depending on your stance if you are holding a weapon, you can spin faster in a certain direction. And if ur unarmed, hold shift, and don’t move while you spin, you can spin faster aswell. And just like the demo your leg typically lifts up higher the faster you can spin.

I’ve also learned that punching before can unlock the speed cap briefly.

If you're working at someone in armor, I find it helps to grab em.

Like in a full cuirass, I mean. For anything short of that, grazing works pretty well.

Like, rather than going for the stab, drag it across their face.

Yes they are. icepick is a totally valid way to use a knife. Especially in the case of the rondel where thats the intended purpose.

how does the background feature work in the character creation stuff? like if youve beaten the game but you retire and have a beggar tier character does it reset you to beggar tier or do you have everything but youre just a beggar?

When fighting sword and dagger, a forward grip, preferably with a quillon dagger, allows you to easily redirect simple thrusts. Daggers, even flexible training daggers, are stiff enough that nearly the entire length can be considered the forte.

Reverse grips, not so much. With a forward grip the point can travel over your forearm as you start the parry, allowing you to intercept the sword deep enough to prevent an easy disengage. (With practiced timing, range control, etc. etc. ) With a reverse grip, if you delay that long the blade will have gone into your forearm.

The reverse grip also shortens your reach, so you have less time to attempt the parry. The blade is naturally angled the wrong way, and correcting that requires contracting the arm. (Not mine btw but reverse grip is just bad unless idek when it would be good tbh, its mostly for style point and I understand some weapons are designed for it but it just shortens ur range)

the only situation I can see it being good if someone is like on top of u and u needa stab them in the back

there are some neat new features, the abyss performs the same if thats what you like but it also has the new stuff, i personally have a 5080 mand a 9800x3d and at 1140p high with dlss quality am barely getting what feels like 40 fps in the best of situations
