yes and no, but essentially the more weight you use, the lower you want the balance for useability over pure nimbleness

more weight = faster stamina usage, so making a lower balance point doesnt subtract from cut ability while giving better handling, more bang for your buck essentially, within reason though any lower than maybe 1/3 up the blade gets more into the nimble side
