Im definitely not super knowledgeable in this subject but I can’t really even run rdr2 on my rig at max settings without upscaling. I’m sure that if your computer isn’t running half sword at atleast 60 fps unless you’re fibbing than your computer probably doesn’t run rdr2 at max settings comfortably. Considering my old laptop ran half sword and the specs were pretty low(1650 max q and a kinda bad processor) maybe try turning graphics down or resolution

Resolution can fix your fps problems in a lot of games. Say if you’re rendering your game in 4K you get really bad performance right that’s because your gpu has to render well how ever many pixels that is and then if you go down to 1080 you get a significant fps boost that’s because your gpu takes less load. Idk who told you that resolution doesn’t matter to your fps but they are wrong

it does, running a game in 720p doesnt give the same performance as running the game on 2k, if you look at any benchmarking video you will find out they have 720p gameplay, sometimes 900p, 1080p and sometimes 1440p all have different preformances under same settings
