You have to get really good with the timing of exactly when it kicks. When you press spacebar, there are two actions, you leg lifts, and then it quickly extends. You want to time it perfectly so that during your spin, your leg extends exactly when you're facing the opponent. When you're practicing, spin slowly. Even if you have a really slow spin you can get a super powerful kick if you time it right, my really fast spins add very little extra power, if any.

You can't really do actual modding in this game. You can, but the devs will take legal action against you if you actually publish the mods. You can edit the weapon values to create unique weapons, but that's all

You can modify the graphics settings in more detail using the enhancer. You might be able to work something out and improve your performance that way, but I'm not sure considering you're already on minimum graphics
