Chainmail was patterned many different ways throughout history. In the mid 15th century, mail was very developed. hell they even put gold on it. chain mail is meant to protect from most slashes and non direct impacts such as stabbing. Now the game def isnt finished but I bet mail will be better later in development.

my way past this issue is to swap to the shorter holding method for the axe and just bruteforce it into his sternum

so every tiny head movement shakes the camera pov around significantly where as in real life your eyes stabilize your POV against most anything other then heavy unplanned movements of the head

like if you were to to focus your eyes on something and then twitch your head in random directions
your view might shake a little but generally stays in place and stays focused on where your looking irl
but in the game doing that would throw your camera view all over the place cause its hard locks to your heads rotation and thus is forced to turn with your head when you could realistically still look where you want to.

i wouldnt get your hopes up besides some sort of split screen for a long while, shooters have trouble even getting their server instances the close enough to client instances. a physics based game like this would be an incredible challenge even for AAA companies. In the FAQ it says they are interested in multiplayer and MAYBE some day. not confirmed in any way
