2025 is still the scheduled year of release, I'd image radio silence is a symptom of the fact the team is too busy prepping for their EA release and the press that comes along with it, Half Sword basically exploded in popularity this year, the discord alone went from like 200 active dudes talking about HEMA and armour and weapons design (alongside the dreaded spear willies) to 30,000 people for a game that hasn't released yet

My point is to be more accessible and versatile, where a stick could easily be in place of either a trainer messer/arming sword/etc without having to get a more specific trainer shape. On top of that, having more legit usefulness for survival or daily life, especially in the ye olde countryside
This whole thing is a bit of a mess because it's all in my head before laying it down on paper but I hope it sounds like a good idea
What you describe here is a pretty decent component of my ordinance. Essentially, the user will be advised to adopt the bare minimum, while giving flexibility to configure or add onto it. For example, the armor would foundationally be padded armor, while giving the user the choice to add private purchase armor on top, which becomes more situational and personal preferenced (e.g. omitting tasetts for the long march, and keeping an open helmet for the senses). The same would go for your advice regarding re-allocating tucks as secondaries
So, I'm not trying to neglect tucks, but rather focus on the core techniques that would largely be applicable to other schools, treatises, and preferences (e.g. a stick for a tuck; a long stick for a pike)
