I've found very few modded weapons cut correctly. Usually ones with a lot of time spent on a small amount of weapons or something that's not far off from a base weapon.
Such as Militus' sword. It's pretty much a perfect heavy 2h sword.

You can try setting the player's damage to the minimum
Don't use HSE to make yourself invincible; that would be an inglorious triumph. Even with minimum damage, it's still difficult, but doable for a beginner
