Falchion doesn't do a full stop on a parry compared to other weapons

you have to move while parrying so you can avoid taking damage from the still moving sword

basically just move into it while parrying or move away from it, its also better to just crouch if you need to

Yeah, the heftier weapons hold up better. with long swords, the wider ones tend to win parries more than thinner ones as well.

I'll help you with a almost 100% guarantee win rate.

Arming sword/w buckler: Parry with the buckler and attempt to keep that AI sword far from you as possible, make sure you do the proper foot work. Move into the sword and go for a stomach cut or neck cut. Whichever works, most of the time if you cut any of these the AI will either die or surrender.

Falchion\w buckler: same principal but the Falchion has only two sharp ends compared to the arming sword 3, so watch where you cut and again proper movement is necessary.

Arming sword\w dagger: attempt to parry with the dagger into a riposte with the Arming sword, if you manage to parry with the knife you can basically win instantly, same principal with the falchion.

Arming sword: Wait for a opening then go in for the kill, hit their arms or hands to disable them is not required but nice to do, same idea with the falchion

How do you beat the longswords if you have no armor

spacing, generally. if you have a range disadvantage the best you can do is keep yourself out of their lethal range, or past it in the case of spears and such

yeah I can't quite explain it well, but given the choice you should try to kill their arm's momentum as well. up close you're kinda pseudo-grappling to make sure their arm can't swing properly

at this point in Early Access they can't swap hands either, so playing around their right handedness is also a thing

I usually have the long wooden stick with the spikes at the end of it cause it's very good for hitting armored enemies in the head and also easily defeats unarmoured enemies

Get real familiar with the range of your weapon, spears should generally out-range swords, and I guess where you're getting fucked over is in the initial clash and you get bled out in the arm

the first thing I thought of is that blood bug caused by a game library that isn't updated for Early Access, that causes crashes

but a lot of performance load in the game is basically figuring out the physics of everything hitting each other, that's why it gets real bad even with minimal things on-screen

also why performance tanks with armor

I have gtx 1080 and i7 8700k and it gets 30fps when there is alot of armored enemies, also it crashes on dx12 when loading back into the menu from abyss it says it ran out of VRAM (8GB)
