idk man one of my favorite games that I have more than a thousand hours on switched the UE5 and didn't focus super heavily on optimization. However they are known to be bad at optimization and it's a very large scale game compared to halfsword. Still though, I wouldn't count on playing in a map like forest running well even if it is optimized... 3050 is getting "old" now

I think you're intentionally misunderstanding how they feel to make a moot point for some reason. It's pretty cut and clear most people aren't upset they didn't release it. I think most people would agree it's better to let stuff get polished and finished up before any sort of release. with that being said though, 90% of the people expressing disappointment are people who took time out of their lives to wait for a new build that never came, because the announcement came so late. that's the crux of the problem, the poor communication that would take minutes at best to say "hey! this isn't gonna happen! we're a bit occupied with the EA release, so stay tuned" instead of last minute blowing people off
