Very nitpicky differentiation, but those are blocks. Parries are active deflections or redirections that make exploitable openings. A block is just putting something between you and an incoming strike.

There are a few things.

1: Willie more often than not tries to match the side your weapon is on. You can use this to control where he will swing from in a lot of cases. Bait the right, then when he swings, step back and switch sides before you strike at him.

2: For when he circles, watch how he is doing it. If he is simply circling, that is fine. But he might be also closing the gap while circling. If he is just circling, I stand my ground and wait. If he is also inching closer while circling, I step back until he stops.

3: If you find WIllie just waiting and waiting, tap or momenterily hold down thrust as a tease. It is a high level threat move, and WIllie will change what he is doing.

My personal trick is to hold alt, thrust the weapon all the way and let go of alt.
Afterwards, I aim the weapon without alt, and tap alt to thrust.
Since it saves the position sorta and tries to go back.
