Look at it this way, most armor was inherited from a line of knights, even if you could afford it, it was likely considered honorable to at the very least display or wear your parent or relatives armor after their passing, whether it be ceremonial or just to honor a death, if you couldn’t afford to buy more armor, you’d likely have it refitted to be able to fit you more, if it wasn’t outdated as in two centuries old, then you would probably wear it if it wasn’t outdated and atleast made 20 years ago you’d shine it and fit it to your body and wear it that way.

Nah heads have fallen off while the body just stays up for me lots of times
