Sort of, the game has a lot of crashes I think it’s thanks to the blood causing the game to just explode if too much is used. So it can be circumvented by turning graphics down to like medium or high and turning gore off

Passive parries happen when your Willie’s weapon is close to another Willie’s attack in which he will automatically move his weapon to block it if it’s close enough

Active parries are when you yourself block it

on one hand i can generally end 1h spear fights quick if i want to, but its one of the only enemies i cant directly 'play' with in a interaction, cant try and get multiple actions per fight

on the other hand they occasionaly do get that random laser guided accuracy for the femoral artery even if you do try and batt it away first lol

right. so. ill try and give my best beginner tips i can to help. FOV to max, adjust your mouse sensitivity to a point you can freely rotate in a defense guard, but also quickly move sides or change to offensive strikes as needed. when approaching a fight, try and keep distance until you see them swing and miss, then followup, use that starting dummy to learn what the general range is on the weapon you want, and start swinging it around in random directions to learn how that weapon wants to move, the more variables your brain covers, the more it will make up for the situations when you arent sure what to do

i might sound like a bit of a dummy for this, but to clarify exactly what autoparry does, does it actually move the sword up down right left for the parry or does it just auto engage the guard positions for me to move as needed in defensive positions

I still think the big thing that will help tons of people is separating out camera sensitivity and weapon sensitivity, that way you don't have to try to balance it

maybe im overthinking it, cause i get what your saying, you can notice the sword pull closer and then only move within that smaller more angled 'pocket' of rotation, i just wasnt sure if autoparry moved it into different positions in that rotational space for you automatically

or if it just puts you in that position, then its up to you to rotate the sword as needed to complete the parry

if that makes any sense lmao

pretty sure it just moves the blade in any way to stop the incoming strike, this can be within any guard or orientation but mostly it keeps the point facing straight upwards. The further you yourself put the blade away from the area of attack the worse the autoparry is going to be at fixing it. it also seems apparent that if you keep moving the blade yourself the auto-parry doesn't work, so therefore that is why more skilled people that active parry will not notice it as much
