Uninstall the Half Sword demo via Steam
Right click on Half Sword Demo in you steam library Manage>Uninstall

IMPORTANT

Press WIN+R then type %localappdata% hit Enter
Now Navigate to and Delete the HalfswordUE5 folder.

Finally, reinstall Half Sword Demo.

Please note Appdata is a hidden folder by default and you need to enable show hidden items in the file explorer.

i mostly fight from alt, boars tooth/irongate (i think), or just mordhau grip and it generally ignores autoparry

bg definitely the better "resting stance" than most of the others
my only issue with it is that because its at the bottom, when you have to travel across the screen to hit a parry, if you go too fast this game treats it as a swing and skips over defensive stances so you have to be more attentive with footwork/zoning/spacing

honestly the best way so far ive found for beating auto parry is just constantly moving counter to the direction of the AI's rotation and try to to swing from the side you're moving from, change directions when you want to swing from the other side

This game would do great with a weight mechanic as well. Light skinny characters are fast but take less DMG, muscular ones hit hard and the heavy ones take less DMG but r slow or something. Might be kinda fun that way. New styles of character would mean timing different and such

I'm no expert but my guess is that's a jousting or tournament shield

the notch is for a lance

that's my guess but i don't know for sure.

I think they are concave to catch the lance blows and concentrate the force in the shield and avoid making the lance slip and injuring you, since the other shields i've seen mostly curve the other way.
