MaA is weird because there's a few things going on.

It's the first tier where you are really heavy from worn armor, so you and your opponent will both be slower (this can make it slightly easier to read attacks).

But more importantly, it's a tier that tests your precision, you have to be very good at aiming with all the weight, while being able to protect yourself because the AI is very good at aiming. So your weakspots need to be protected, shoulders and groin usually, and don't expose your back by overcomitting.
