The only two glitches in terms of footwork I have seen is that if you hold shift at the beginning sometimes it stops you from moving until you let go of the keys and start up again (this was an old playtest thing, dunno if its still around). And for demo exclusively, after a certain time of playing there will be invisible hitboxes that appear on the ground and you can sort of step in the air, and it slows you down, messes up your balance, etc. It has been theorized this is caused by the hitboxes of dead enemies not going away which is why it happens after a lot of play and in random areas around the arena

I don't go on higher armored tiers often but if balance is a huge issue I would say mainly stay off shift and then only hold it shortly to do dashes and dodges, or slightly longer to make a quick withdrawal

this also makes it easier to hit the head since your core is raised, something that is quite valued in high tiers

in terms of when you are using shift, move with, not against your lead foot, lest you cause unnecessary unbalance

Longsword works fine, it's relatively easy to block an overhead strike with a little more difficulty for horizontal but you can usually block and immediately slash/stab which should break a limb if not kill him instantly

Hmm I don't remember vet and knight being hard at all, there's also the risk of dying vs just going unconscious/having time to give up; early on you tend to just get stabbed and die instantly, at knight tier if you get hit in the head really hard the worst thing that'll happen to you is knockout
