this is the main issue with gauntlet for me

your arms

are the most important assets to you

and yet,

despite how many high teir foes you kill

they will refuse to drop arm armor.

the chances of it is too low

we need to buff that up

so 90% of the time even if you get far you dont even get to see the baron because the enemy keeps taking shots at your arms and you cant use it anymore

You should be able to fix it by running the game in dx11. Right click halfsword in your steam library, properties, then under general there’s a line for launch options. Type In That line: -dx11

if you have a high teir weapon

not only will the next enemies have long sticks with spikes on them, the opponent you kill, will not drop armor.

its like the game punishes you severely into where you cant even do anything to defend yourself because even if you get hits in they come in from the side and stab your arm

@void vector you can give up (or faint it) by pressing "G" anytime. So you dont die and keep progression. Cuz yes if you die in Gauntlet mode you go to abyss for an extra chance...but if you die there too you loose progress and start beggar again.

Or you can just go freemode and play any class its the same difficulty/levels

I've been a Rome1 and Med2 fan, and I resisted playing Nu Total War but I just had to play something different.

Glad I did, beat the game on Franks on Hard after a few restarts early on. The focus on the turb-based strategy side of the game is crazy interesting, much more complex

1212 ad is more challenging and realistic, more fleshed out mechanics and events, with a different combat system and Medieval Warfare is more arcade that uses the same combat system as vanilla. Really just a matter of preference
