Just use the spear as a giant stick with the benefit of a metal spike on the end.

If you can use a polearm, you can use the spear. I personally use it more like a glaive than an actual spear lol

It's definitely tricky to counter but it can absolutely be done.
I don't have any clips of fighting plancon really because my preferred tier doesn't have it. But I would suggest practicing on how to manipulate your enemy's polearm, I do the same when I rarely go against plancon.

In any case, it's incredible that a game that I found goofy at first made me read European fencing texts before I managed to play it. I didn't imagine how complex mastering the long sword could be. The balance found between the inertia of the sword and the body alone is something ^^

What I liked in the old one is that it felt like numerous fair battles, but finishing the game is really unlikely because there's just so many battles you have to win
But the chamption (and bosses some of the bosses ig) feels rigged against the player

It needs some fine tuning but its not to the insane degree I've seen some people say, just need a bit more control over the players arms and to stop being kicked over by a gentle breeze at some points
