Exaggerating ngl, but the combat in KCD is genuinely lacking for me. Absolutely love both games, I grinded hours into KCD2 like I haven’t for a game in a hot minute. That being said, in the first game, the combat is stupid jank and is also made wacky by master strikes. If you don’t just bait out an enemy and master strike them, then they master strike you and you die. Combos in both are virtually pointless. Still, I’ll say the combat is fun to learn. It’s mostly me being an old sweat that knows how to stomp on enemies and cheese the combat that makes it less fun for me. I do wish armor actually worked as well in KCD2 as it did in 1 because it sometimes feels like I’m stabbing through cardboard lmao
