Double clicking for stab does offer a more stiff hold and mouse movements are locked to slight left-right and top-down movements. With alt you into stabbing stance and you can move the blade in and out performing many stabs.

Really underused in this community, and fr, it's a crazy good technique when mixed with timed alt thrust mode and click sweeps.

• its instantaneous neutral guard(right foot forward stand), mainly can defend+counter the first attack of the enemy willie in almost any weapon(except plançon a picota, for it's threat on clash)
  Favours instantaneous right whipslashes A LOT more, also shifts force to right much easier, wich is handy upon clashed defenses and enemies running towards you in full armor.
  It's easier to hit from high stance and holding your sword becomes a click away. Swapping back to Traditional can lead to massive(really massive) strikes when done midswing right to left after rebounds.
  Thrust mode is more effective as sideguards aswell.
  I have about 15h studied precisely on that swapped mode for now and I see massive potential.
  Only downside so far is getting yourself better at mirroring your mouse motion, getting used to time your alt mode and overall just re-learning a lot of things.
  If you got a good movement and distance notion, it will be a fun ride to try.

When you hold shift you’ll have a clear front and back foot, the kick almost always comes from the back foot. You can change which foot is the back foot by moving your weapon/fists to the left or right of your body. Have fun : )
