you can play both but it depends on what you want. demo is a progression type game where you fight the dudes, get to bosses so you can get better gear and get to the end. in the playtest you can choose if you wanna do a single fight or a different type of fight. Weapons are completely randomized so no you dont get to choose. i recommend playtest since the demo is old and unpolished (small buhurt which is 3v3, carnage that is a free for all, etc)
