That's mixed up for some reason lol, its LMB that you're supposed to double click. There's a couple options to stab. You can double click, or you can use alt/click and move your mouse.

Stabbing Advice 🔪

When stabbing with alt (with swords), pull your weapon in closer to your body as opposed to extending your elbow out. It's much more accurate and stable.

Alternatively If it's a two handed weapon it is recommended to hold right click first, then drag your mouse to aim the weapon. Then from there double click and hold left mouse (you can try alt a little as well but clicking is more stable)
This is a much more stable and accurate stabbing pose, and a proper halfsword thrusting stance.

To practice your aiming, there's two different ways you can keep your FOV.
Third Person- with Low FOV, so you get a closer view.
or alternatively;
First Person- with High FOV, so you get a wide view of your weapon and it's positioning.

No worries! I find better success with alt personally when you disable lock-on with F. When Lockon is enabled, it will pull your stabs more center mass towards the enemies waist.
It's best to tap F briefly in between when you're going for stabs, imo

Ok so I've literally a "lore" for the game thanks to my playthroughs

The main two houses are the Longswords and the Spikes. The Longswords notoriously use the longsword, while the spikes use that pike with a shitton of spikes or nails or whatever. These two houses hate each other, but are otherwise extremely honorable fighters, knights and nobles. Thus comes the tournament, and the 'rules' in this lore are pretty simple:

The player either plays a Longsword {using a longsword} or a Spike {using that spikey monstrosity}

When they fight, they can not hurt a surrendering opponent, and should try to cease fighting when possible. HOWEVER
IF ITS THEIR RIVAL HOUSE
Even if they surrender, the game doesn't end either until the Spikes detach some limb, or the longsword decapitates the Spike

Three things you can do.
First, make sure vsync is on. That's usually the first issue.

Then, you can see if the game is in dx12, for me, it tends to lag when taking clips in dx12. But dx12 is fine.

Finally,
Check your encoding path in medal, and change it. Usually that helps all around.
