Solution: Clean reinstall
Delete all files relating to the half sword playtest existing in your local files. Be sure to back up your screenshots folder if you took any!
Navigate to and delete the Half Sword Playtest folder located in the following directory.
C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common
Navigate to and delete the Saved folder located in the following directory.
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\HalfSwordUE5
Finally, reinstall Half Sword Playtest.
Make sure you get all files listed above, it's very important compared to a typical reinstall. It's about a 30% success rate for this bug, but it's the best fix we got at the moment

I know it's weird but I recently had an application change my audio output for my headphones to 48000hz and it literally made it to where I couldn't hear anything. But that's not the kicker. Youtube videos literally would not play. Somehow changing the quality to 48000hz made my videos not play. After changing to 44100hz everything worked fine. So it could be something as weird as that, something that you wouldn't think would effect it is doing it.
