I really like and enjoy the abyss mode, the progress type of gameplay, the encounters. Playtest is lovely and such but if I could mix those two that would be a blast.

truth, abyss mode is really fun, and is probably funner with the new locomotion in the playtest/combat
but it still needs some stuff into it to spice up things a little, and if you quote the faq: " It will come back in an enhanced shape and form that will surprise, entertain and challenge players more than ever." it seems that they are planning on overhauling it

Reapply your graphic settings, exit game. Restart pc, run half sword as admin from files and bobs your uncle. Anything beyond that is your system can't handle it
