I tried to publish this in feedback but apparently I can't. So here it goes:

Maybe it's a stupid question, but why does the character become completely defenseless once he falls on the floor? I get it when he's almost unconscious or severly wounded, but sometimes you simply trip and fall on the floor, and you just have to pray the enemy doesn't hit you properly while you try to stand again. If you retained control of your arms, you could try to defend yourself with your weapon or even with your bare arms while you try to stand up. At the same time, finishing off a fallen enemy would become an actual challenge, instead of you fighting the aiming controls 😅

welp the feedback about falling on the floor and hard times to fight back and getting up was already suggested couple of times. Pretty sure devs are trying to balance the physics systems and the issue will be fixed/polished in future updated

Your best bet is to use your dagger once downed, it's the only weapon that you can swing when you're on the floor
