They completely reworked the physics engine, so the old blood system is not compatible yet. They would have to tweak it to work with UE5.4 and all of that.
They've been working on a much more in depth blood/gore system for a while, now.

I'm honestly not the biggest fan of Dark Souls (I find it too cheesy and meta heavy), but I also remember thinking Exanima was exactly what I wanted Dark Souls to be. I don't think having them as an influence is a bad thing.

Tarkov as a game concept is some good fun, in its current state and with how the devs have been handling things I feel a bit negatively about it, but it has good ideas.

body density is like how buttery your stabbing and un-stabbing is, highening it makes it harder to remove weapons from the corpses of the enemy

bone snapping if you turn it up it makes it easier to break peoples bones, down it makes it harder

i think it balances out considering a good 60% of the time it just launches into the air if you get disarmed

If you just swing horizontally and swing at the blades distance its almost impossible to be disarmed, but i guess your used to the weapon at that point. It's weakness is a spear, but you can easily deflect the spear with two points of contact between the shaft and blade
