This is an uphill battle my guy. The playtest wins with no contest on the weapon handling, look, and overall feel of the game. The gore in half sword is just to make it look nice, give it that extra detail. It contributes a tiny part to the overall intended experience of the game.

It’s hard to tell since you’re using integrated graphics, which means it doesn’t have dedicated vram, and the amount of RAM allocated to be vram for your iGPU can change depending on what’s going on. But if I were to guess, I’d say it’s a vram issue, not a memory leak.

i don’t get the laptop hate. I get they overheat a lot, but that’s usually because people use them on bad surfaces (like blankets) and clog up their air vents. My laptop has better thermals than my old desktop. And I get the weaker parts, but sometimes you just want that portability.

Ngl, with my extremely limited knowledge of siege, wouldn’t it make for some dynamic ways to play if you could destroy walls and floors completely? I mean. For like a multi-story building you could add scaffolding (unless that’s already in the game) out of the building. And add a floor below it to break through, adding more depth to the strategy, since you could literally break the floor out from under people.

Destruction ain't the future of FPS games, it's awesome, I'm the worlds biggest Battlefield nerd (the people who made Battlefield good made the Finals), but it all depends on the game. Siege and Siege-likes (there basically are none), I don't think would ever work with full freeform destruction like The Finals or Battlefield, specifically because of the game design. It's 4th dimensional Counter Strike basically.

You take away the tight corridors and hallways and rooms, you no longer have Siege
