Each weapon has its own purpose, I wouldn't say one is better overall than another.
Single edged swords are best for slashing and cutting, but you can also stab with them slightly.
Longswords are very good for stabbing but are weaker as cutting weapons.
And Axes are very good at cutting, but they're heavier and it's harder to get a direct hit with the blade of the axe.

The playtest has phenomenal physics, and the weapons and armour colliding feel amazing. It's more realistic, and has added many combat stances.

The demo has blood and the roguelike game mode. It has not been updated with the new physics and combat engine

Probably, but the files in question also seemed to be inside a compiled file. To fix the blood someone would have to open the ".ucas" file and replace the transparent blood textures with new textures (that could probably be the Demo's textures)

Stabs are mighty accurate if you hold right click to halfsword and then double click your left mouse. It works best with polearms because you can keep them steady and aim them nicely with right mouse, then stab perfectly with left mouse
