There is one helmet you can't see out of in first person if you are blind it's the helmet

At the point in time HS is set, nearly every soldier was able to own a breastplate and a helmet, the levy system was largely done away with. It came down to just how available armor was, and by that point in time the shit was practically everywhere. If in the final game, or in some kind of roguelite mode, we have to actually purchase and pay for repairs on our armor, it would make the choice of armor you go for more impactful. It's easier to repair chain if it gets seriously damaged, but it doesn't protect basically at all from heavy bludgeons. It's amazing against stabs and cuts, and you can repair easily by replacing a few links.

Thrusts are much more consistent in the Playtest due to the increased stability and control you have over your arms. You have a much much higher degree of control over how you fight, so much that you have to honestly be more conservative with how crazy you swing. Speed, force, the distance you move your mouse, all of that should be halved from how you played the Demo.

Not at all, all that could be considered "key" is blood, and that's purely from a feedback point of view. I use Hellish Quart as an example all the time, because it's the best example of this. It's blood and gore exists purely to sell the combat, not to be a playground where mentally unstable teenagers can act out their most horrid fantasies.

I think this game could go the entire way without gore. All gore is, is a selling point, and one that doesn't sit well with most advertisers or platforms at that. Of course they promised it, and I still look forward to the combat to becoming brutal once more, but I don't buy the claim that "this game is nothing without gore".

They decided to put out this playtest because the combat was basically completed for that version, and they were already completely reworking the gore, so it could be left out entirely.
When the gore is fully complete, they'll put it in the 0.4 release of the old demo, along with likely new maps, the overhauled combat + the updates from this playtest, and maybe some new gamemodes who knows?
