Hi! I spent a few hours trying to figure this out but I can't...
I am trying to run this game in higher resolution than my screen, because that allows you to see a bigger area around your character.

I know that people who have 4k monitors see much more and I wanted to "emulate" that on my 1080p screen.

However, I can not figure out how to do it. Every setting I have tried does not change the area I can see.

I know there is DSR but that requires me to change my whole screen's resolution

DSR doesn't need to affect the whole screen. If you play the game in Fullscreen you can choose the DSR res in game afaik
