--so ive been using re_tweaks on re4 (2005) and its injected into the game via a dll wine override but i cant seem to get lsfg_vk to work, even without re4_tweaks, it seems. i started using WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" PROTON_USE_WOW64=1 ENABLE_LSFG=1 LSFG_MULTIPLIER=2 %command% in combination with the latest bleeding edge proton but i just get a black screen after booting the game back up
(i didnt mention, but the game is locked to 60 and thats why im using frame gen, just to bump it up to 90 if possible)

-also i messed around with it earlier and just did pacman-key --init but then when trying to run sudo pacman -S vulkan-validation-layers is says it's corrupted.? when running the cmd you just sent, i get told to run it as root. so i put sudo in front of it yet i still get told to run as root

OHH, okok, i got it. 'just had to run it separate, running the following separate pacman-key --init sudo pacman-key --populate holo

--i have the console-linux.txt log file. to answer questions: i am using steamOS on my deck and i am somewhat familiar with linux but not crazily. ive had my deck for a couple years now tho and have ran konsole stuff every now and then. i got my file from the cmd on the readme on github. im running it thru steam and havent tried cmd line bc i dont know how. im using the bleeding edge beta of proton experimental as i was recommended to use it and a launch option since re4 (2005) is a 32 bit game (and apparently still is after using the 4gb+ ram patch which is included with re4_tweaks and AFAIK basically patches the exe to detect more than 4gb of ram at a time)

wait, crap. i somehow skipped building the debug build i think 😭
--i tried running the following as shown in the text i copied to the .txt file but it looks like it failed with a lot of different errors or something. thats when compiling the script myself (which i assume i have to do, but if not ive already posted the console-linux.txt file earlier a bit earlier in the thread: #1394402370900852747 message

--just got reminded seeing someone else's comment in this server but i can hear the menu noises when hitting buttons so the game is booting, but there is no display whatsoever. but the game then seems to have like a leak on the system or something, as the menu becomes unberrably unresponsive; soon followed by a message saying smth along the lines of "waiting for re4 2005 to shutdown before steam" like as if with any other game when you shut the system down (not sleep) while a game is still open
