i still don't get why temporal upscaling is a no, couldn't you make a custom temporal upscaler that uses the optical flow?
I admit that the optical flow made by LSFG 3.1 can help LS1.1 or LS2 if it comes out one day...
It would most likely have some ghosting issues but overall quality would be improved if it was a temporal solution

using optical flow would not be as good quality as spatial upscaling and the overhead for it would be too much to be worth the effort.
When using frame gen, the optical flow is already generated, so there would be almost no overhead.
It also should be worse quality as you would just have more input data, you can still rely on spatial with only some temporal improvement
So use optiscaler
