I'm not sure if it's possible and if it's worth it. For example on a 4k monitor, If we set a game windowed 1080p can we run frame generation that generates 1080p images and then upscale all images? This way frame generation will be lighter, but the gpu will need more work for the upscaling and the image quality will be worse.

I think the current frame generation flow scale adjustments is sufficient if your goal is to lower the workload.
