There are many basic upscalers out there that arent supported in lossless scaling, examples provided in image. Or just add them in already we haven't had a new upscaler in forever. Would also like the ability to combine different upscalers for a more specifically desired effect.

While I think it would be 100% possible, it wouldn't benefit the use of compute units that are used by some of these techniques by default

Also I don't think any CNN model shown here that's not CuNNy is better than LS1 (you can see this by comparing LS Anime4K to LS1

they serve different purposes entirely most of them aren't even comparable to ls1

and CuNNy is an alternative to Anime4K that was trained specifically for visual novels, I would personally benefit a hell of a lot from that alone.

many of these also arent just one setting, most of them have like 20 different variants and you can pick and choose to maximize perforance to quality ratio

I am a big fan of RAVU. It's not "detailed", but it is extremely accurate. But stacking Magpie with LS isn't possible, so yeah. We want this. CuNNy is also superior to basically any Anime4K implementation.

Lossless scaling already has all the features ready, why don't they just allow people to add it or do it by themselves
