#Lossless Scaling keeps freezing
60 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
i mean how, the game says on the graphics settings takes 1300 out of 4000
vram
and games like call of duty that take much more I don't have any problems with
No
Old bug which has returned for some reason
You're not the only one @past pond
Latest update gave me the issue again as well
The adaptive FG update
Sounds like vram to me too
This is irrelevant
Ok and why a few months ago was fine on the same game/s
And only now it does that to me
It's not VRAM, I get freezing whileafterburner shows 8 of 10 GB of VRAM utilization
I mean is strange that the freezing appeared only after the last update, no?
Yep I don't know what could be causing it
Apparently running obs in admin mode is a workaround
:)))
Do u think i didn't do that already
The game worked before the update, now it doesn't with lower graphics. Simple
Is your VRAM chart set to 10+ GB?
Wdym VRAM chart? I have GPU memory usage being polled in afterburner that gives me the utilization in MB. If I was maxing out the 10 GB, it'd show it on the OSD.
Do you see it as a numeral?
Because you have to configure AB to show the total
If it's configured with the wrong number it won't be accurate
No
Do you really think we're that stupid?
Yeah it's a numeral, using GPU.dll and "GPU dedicated memory usage". I'm not sure what you mean by configuring the right number though, I think we may be talking about two different things.
We've had this discussion before not sure what the hostility is all about.
Me and others have already proven it has absolutely nothing to do with overlays vram you name it
So you've set your graph/VRAM to 10GB+
Yeah I remember talking about this issue in the past with you @azure rivet and it was fixed in a beta release, then it recently came back. I don't think it's a coincidence we're both back in here seeing it again.
Maybe downgrading is a solution I don't really use adaptive fg anyways
Can you show your VRAM when it freezes, pictures speak a thousand words
Feel free to find the older threads
Well, yeah. My card has 10 GB of VRAM. If I was meeting or exceeding that amount, the numeral would show that. I experience freezes when at below 9 GB.
Feel free to help me help you
At least it doesn't soft lock my whole PC like it used to in the older release
No, it's clear you don't have any intention to do so.
Real mature
Anyways I think they're aware of this problem so all we can do is downgrade and wait I guess.
Well, what evidence is there besides anecdotal that it is an actual vram overflow issue?
Well that's why I'm asking for evidence that it's not
fair enough
How was CPU and RAM at the time?
And have you checked event viewer?
Is there a way i can downgrade to the previous version so i can test that too?
If is from this version or is a me problem. But for me its strange that the games that i played with lossless were perfectly fine and now they don't work anymore with lossless
Ok, ty
What :))
