Instead of constantly generating more frames , we selectively generate them when we need to reach a threshold. So if a user has set a 60 fps threshold but ur only hitting 42-60, you would save/ use less of an overhead to reach the 60 instead of maxing out the gpu most of the time

I am pretty sure this would feel bad because of different latency between real frames, especially on high x modes

enable vsync and you will automatically have this feature

There are a few games where depending on the area the average fps is either 50 or 80, so being able to target a certain amount of FPS without having to manually change LSFG around while playing would be very nice
