LS needs to overlay over all apps, as it can only capture a single app, and can't display in the size of that window. The only way to do something relatively similar is by disabling "resize before scaling" and using a custom scale factor of 1, which results in black bars.

LS simply can't be used on an app and show other apps behind it. It can only display the app it's applying to

If you were seeing multiple apps at once behind MSFS, chances are you weren't activating LS in the first place.

People have different problem but 522.44 best and we try troubleshooting maybe it work as before as exemple rivatuner for some can cap ls fps but many won't so try and see

When you're using LS, no apps can be present except for the app that LS is being used on. You can alt-tab or press the windows key to switch to other apps, but you can't view them while having upscaling/frame generation working at the same time.
Additionally, forcing another app to be shown on top of the game while LS is working interferes with LS, causing massive FPS loss. This includes most overlays.

learned about this some time ago with another user that wanted to do it on ffxiv with an ultrawide monitor
worked wonders to fg only the main game and not their panels on the side

But update 3.0 completely removed the legacy setting for whatever reason

This broke my use case for ls completely. I rolled back to version 3.0.0.1, which still has the windowed mode behaviour, but now I'm locked out of the newer versions... Hopefully they give us some other way to customise the size and style params of the output window 🙏
