You'd cap a game to 30 fps to get a stable framerate let's say, then you'd use loseless scaling to increase the fps by 2 giving you 60 fps

Riva tuner has an option called scanline sync, you can move the screen tearing off your screen my moving the scanline outside your monitor's boundaries

i recommend using nvidia fps limiter to get lower input lag or if you want to use rtss use nvidia reflex mode to get lower input lag. Nvidia reflex sync mode in rtss only works with direct x 11 and 12 games. I just use nvidia frame limiter instead of rtss (In nvidia reflex mode rtss use nvidia frame limiter)

Tomb raider 2013 runs with 50 fps on mid settings and with lossing scale it runs with around 20 fps

But you losing so much fps with tomb raider is probably related to high gpu usage. Were you using performance mode?

can you try capping at 30 with x2 mode then tell me results. (If you have 1080p screen you can go for 1477x831 LS 1 upscaling which is resolution of fsr ultra quality, by creating a custom res in control panel. If you already use upscaling lower than this keep it)

Upscaling does not use much resource if im not wrong. Most of the time it is worth it

If you dont mind 720p you can go for 720 to 1080

There are only 2 options for gaming

i remember testing nis with my 1660ti it effected my fps by 2

Instead of boosting my fps it reduces it
