#Lossless Scaling breaks when using more than one monitor

Do your monitors have different refresh rates?
yes
This might be the issue then. I face this problem a lot too and I have a 144 and 60 Hz monitor
is there no fix? is it really a bug? I have two 60hz monitors ans a 170hz
You can test it by only using the two 60 Hz monitors
If the bug happens then too then it's maybe the different refresh rates colliding
i tested this just now, both monitors were at 60hz, it seemed like it worked fine
so i assume you are correct but im not sure how to go about playing anything without turning something off 😓
Yeah I have the same thing
Wait
Could you try using one of your 60 Hz monitors as your main windows monitor?
And then still play and use LS on your 170 Hz monitor?
See if that helps
broken as normal that way
says 132 / 139
And when you play the game on one of the 60 Hz monitors and then output LS to your 170 Hz monitor?
You will see the game twice but it should work normally then
huh... when i play the game on a 60hz monitor and set output display to the 170hz one it still only displays on the 60hz one
yes ive done that, it refuses to switch
Maybe try restarting Lossless and the game
Does it work?
well now i have the game showing on two monitors, id say "sort of?"
its not tripling correctly more like my games fps is 60, and the program is showing 60 / 140
Your 170 Hz monitor should still show the generated smoother frames
It's not ideal but it's something
Oh okay
Does it show 60/120 correctly when you set Frame Gen to x2 at least?
oh my bad that was just in the menu, it looks like it is tripled correctly now
i suppose this is usable but what a messy way to do it lol
It's annoying but probably the best we can do for now
Since the devs are not able to reproduce this, it doesn't look good in terms of official fixes
really? where did you hear that?
ive had the issue constantly for the last month and have reinstalled gpu drivers a dozen times by now
they can have my computer
We have a lot of threads in this support channel regarding this issue
And it was said that neither of the admins or mods can reproduce this
Not necessarily about nonsense but also about Lossless showing 144/144 instead of 48/144 for example
However there are also people who have this issue with only one monitor so they can't even apply this fix
i posted about it in another thread maybe a week or two ago, but im pretty sure it IS graphics driver based, back then i found a version of AMD drivers that it worked perfectly on, but unfortunatly AMD is kind of bad at making drivers and my fan controller software didnt work correctly on those ones, so for a while i just put up with the noise of my overbearing case fans and enjoyed a fully functional LS. Yesterday i kind of had enough and updated to the latest drivers to fix my fan controller and now LS is nonfunctional again. Or at least thats my suspicion
i hope they get it fixed soon cause this does feel kind of silly
Hm I see
There were a lot of people lately who reported LS showing nonsense framerates (like 60/48)
figured out if you use WGC instead of DXGI you can put something over the screen your using instead of displaying the game on two monitors at once
Just restart pc then play game. works for me
i wouldnt be here if it was that simple
Then you have a program blocking it, go to msconfig and find it
might have to try to DDU and reinstall drivers. If you already did that, then yeah maybe try some older drivers. Other than that no idea :x
This might be a stretch, but do any of you have unactivated Windows? Or furthermore, a Windows watermark at the bottom right?
I ask this because I had similar problems, you know, 144/144 fps counters and the game not being detected etc. But then I activated my Windows, the watermark goes away and I no longer have problems with LSFG
i did that yesterday unfortunately
used AMD cleanup utility
I heard about that too but i do in fact have an activated copy of windows
Damn, I see, it was worth a try at least
I guess it could practically be any kind of background program that tries to somehow be in focus or any kind of overlay
Yeah I am thinking it has to be some sort of overlay interfering with the program
Then again I don't understand why playing on the second monitor and outputting LS to your main fixes it
I tried just about everything before activating my Windows and frustatingly nothing worked lol, I do hope everyone finds that one thing messing with LS
