Whenever I scale World of Warcraft the cursor hand ingame disappears. As soon as losslesss scaling is active, the cursor just goes invisible. When I turn it off it immediately comes back.

I'm using DXGI.

Do you see fps counter?

okay, so here is was I found:
as soon as I add(ed) Lossless Scaling to the System > Display > Graphics apps and chose "power saving" the problem occurs as described. as soon as I removed the entry it started working again as usual.

Why did you set it to power saving?

dont have good reasoning for that. I feel like I've read this a million times on this sub that one is supposed to do that... I really shouldn't mess with the functionality in this way regardless though. happy it's 'fixed' now. alt tabbing / cursor behavior is still weird though.

Power saving is recommended only for hybrid systems that have iGPU and dGPU usually in those iGPU actively displays the frames (the dGPU processes them and sends them to the iGPU to display to monitor) therefore the need for power saving to force lossless scaling to be used on the iGPU otherwise it wont work as per the limitation of the APIs. If you have a mux switch, an external monitor or a system that only has a dGPU you dont need to do that
