#FSR 3?

If you scroll up in the general channel you will see a veeeeeeery lengthy discussion on the topic.
Until the source code is released it is very hard to tell but at the moment the things are pointing towards no (because it looks like it will be temporal solution like FSR2 and DLSS)
AFMF is FSR 3 without the temporal data, so if the source code is public the same modifications can be made to get frame generation to run without needing access to the game engine & motion vectors like AFMF does.
Modifying source code especially of frame generation which THS may not be experienced with however does take certain skills that the LS team doesn't have.
So I'm not saying it should be added but it should be possible to do & I'm sure someone will.
Correct and incorrect at the same time. FSR3 will most probably contain the FG code but optimized for temporal usage. If that is the case- someone will have to rewrite a major part of it. Also, AMD are most probably not gonna open the FMF (driver level injection) code and that is the issue because that version of the code has additional optimization to do better picture without temporal data
There is already a possibility to add simple blended frames with a reshade filter. If some fluid motion algorithm like AFMF (not FSR 3 FMF) goes open source, it should be possible to implement frame generation in tools like LS.
The issue is that the reshade filters also intercept info from the game pipelines and that can trigger anti-cheat softwares. Recently Crytek banned the using of reshade in Hunt: Showdown due to some filters assisting the playersin unfair ways. The EAC intercepts the ReShade filters exactly when they try to engage the pipelines now.
hybred has already made one
actually better then that
I found the "interlaced-effect." It looks good but you need at least 75ish fps to not notice the artifacts
https://reshade.me/forum/shader-troubleshooting/4041-backbuffer-and-rendertarget-at-one-pass#26471
wait what is this?
Some reshade effect I found that combines 2 frames to make a new frame. It looks decent but only at 75+fps
Scroll down to the very bottom for the script
i don't think it does inturpaltion at all
is it not just like montion blur
i don't think it is real interlacing
Hmmm
I think this script does it:
https://reshade.me/forum/shader-presentation/4335-experimental-high-framerate-frame-blending
It just blends the previous frame with the current one
Basically just worse motion blur
It's not at all
It just layers the previous frame onto your current one
It doesn't add any in-between frames
Just use motion blur
Is there a reshade effect that does frame interpolation
If not, is it even possible?
Yes
Hybred has made one
He hasn't released it though
Ask him if you have any questions about it
@silver rock do you have a potential beta release date for frame interpolation?
I'm waiting for FSR3 source code to be released. I want to see how AMD is reducing latency, latency is not good with my version
about how much does your code increase latency by
does reflex or anti lag not improve it at all?
There’s a setting in Nvidia’s driver that improves latency across all games.
The only drawback is that it’s cpu intensive
yes reflex
can you share your shaderhere(even if it has lantecy)?
Ye
I think it has licensing issues to
Licensing issues?
Reflex does, AL+ doesn't according to HUB's tests. AMD said they're working on making it better compatible with FSR3
Either way its RX 7000 exclusive so doesn't help most people. Most of the latency reduction is built into the frame generation itself.
yeah it uses copyrighted code i think
I'm borrowing open source code from other fast/lightweight interpolation algorithms for mine. So for a full release I will need to
1 - Write my own GPU swapchain latency reduction software or hope AL+ becomes open source & more compatible with FG so I can implement it like Reflex
2 - Replace copyrighted code with my own and/or seek permission to use it
At this point I'm more interested in modifying FSR 3 code than I am getting my own version officially released. I think it will be time consuming and have at best the same quality, at worse inferior
Well, in all of the cases we will have to wait for the SDK to see what is and what is not possible
Is the interpolation algorithm you’re developing in reshade or is it like an application?
reshade
0:00 Native
0:28 Applying
0:40 Interpolation
We know, already discussed it in general xD
Where
Won't be coming to lss
no problem
with that much spam in general- you can use the search function to try locating it xD
