For some reason, stepping in certain parts of this room makes you take damage.

i also found a corner i got stuck and lost all my gears and lost energy it kept damaging me in center 1

Seems like some spots are considered "falling + immediatly landing" resulting in falling damage. But thats just a guess.

I had similar experience, but happened while magi was holding me. I got dropped next to a ticketman in circus hall 1 (i dont think magi did it. i just fell out of his grab). Ticketman was hugging the door frame/pillar on the left side of the main opening with big sign over it.

I had the same issue here. Mine was connected to a bunny tho. I interacted with it and i took dmg right after pressing E
