A similar post was made but from magicians side. As a bunny I once spent half the match looking for keys but could not find any, severly hindered my actions that game only to later see a bunny hiding them... There really needs to be a solution so this doesn't keep happening. Maybe keys on ground become highlighted after a few minutes have passed?
#Bunnies hiding keys

Yeah important topic. Same solution as for magician: Highlight keys (in orange maybe, like the icon) after they have been on the floor for X amount of time to players (buns and magi) if they're near enough. Not globally. Picking the keys back up and dropping them again should not reset that timer to prevent denying the highlight by resetting the timer with pick up/drop.
Rip radar
🗝️
I would use radar to find them but this last alpha I only found radar maybe twice? Dont know if they lowered the number of them
You can pick up keys with the hat
I saw that update and am glad for it but as a bunny it still remains a problem if my team mates hide keys and I cant find a radar.
Some Bunny really are Key Goblins 😅
I guess, its the best what the devs can do against this
the balance focus right now is magician vs bunny..not bunny vs bunny
You can always report the bunny or ask him where did he hide all the keys
Yeah I understand its not a priority right now that's fine I just wanted to put it out there and they decide what to do if anything and when. I don't think it's a reportable offense they arent doing it to intentionally hinder the allies just mage but it happens to be an unfortunate side effect.
Hiding keys is a fine strategy. If you're having difficulty locating any, maybe finding a Radar is the best idea at that moment.
A bunny intentionally hiding keys from their team rather than just the hunter is definitely bad mannered and should be considered griefing.
wouldn't this just be a massive waste of bunnies time, if a magician just mainly go for players, to take their keys.
if you need starter keys, just loot second floor, while using that time to leer down to first floor for any bunnies.
the issue there is how rare radars are. I agree that its not really a problem to hide keys from the magician. After all if the mag does stumble on it they can pick up all the keys. Thats really good for the magician. However, as stated a few times, this screws the other bunnies pretty bad. If you do this, at the very least ping the location of your key pile AND say something in the text chat.
Honestly, its probably best to just not do this. You could feed the magician alot of keys.
Im sorry, but this reads like a real double standards take to me. On one side you are saying "Yeah the mag can stumble on it, its really good for him" essentially saying its fine if there is no mechanic to help them find those hidden keys, but for bunnys its apparently not fine to have to look for them if they have been hidden by another bun. It screws the magi just as bad as other buns.
Well you can also just put the leys in chests if you really want to. Not always but I believe its possible to do that, although sometimes it might have slots locked in the middle. Plus you can drag bunnies around and hide the bunny you want to store keys in. There are alot of things you can do but remember that the magician getting keys is inevitable since you need them to progress. If you have them on you or somewhere else... They will get caught eventually
not double standards. the Mag can collect all keys in a pile. a Bunny can only hold a max of 2. So yes it is FAR more of an issue for bunnies than it for monsters
pretty sure there is 2 blocked inventory spots in the middle of the chest that prevents bunnies from stashing keys in a chest.
to be clear, my point is not that is doesn't affect monsters. but monsters can move floors easily and steal keys from bunnies. So its not a big problem for them. Bunnies are limited on the floors they can search. So this tactic hurts teammates more than the monster. I've been stuck on first floor enough times due to not finding any keys or radars. Never been trapped on a floor as a mag.
Yeah I had a vague idea of that. Oh well
