i feel like this is a HUGE punishment for being found. its pretty soul-crushing to have to do everything again from the first floor, especially if your team isn't helping with objectives/putting rope up. i would suggest maybe it sends you 2 floors down, rather than the full 4 floors, as losing a health state, time to progress the game because you are caged, and the progression you've already lost is too much to come back from, especially half way/close to the end of a match, as Magi will have had enough time to set up ticketmasters/bunnytraps etc. on the upper floors. OR maybe adding another contraption that sends you to 1st and traps you, but takes Magi more time to put you in/make it work. i know rope is a thing, but rope is extremely rare. i barely ever find rope in my games, let alone radars and oil. speaking as a solo queue bunny who is constantly looking for lockpicks and looting chests (ik 4 mans/constant comms are OP, pls dont shout at me, im just expressing my opinion on le matter bunny_panic)

Imagine they do the thing you said. What the community will do is ignore the cages completly and throw you down

you still get value by trapping them so they cant progress the game for a certain amount of time

maybe increase that to make up for it

it makes the magi drop you, you get panic, you wont lose gear, magi will get stunned, and you get a lot of points too

@foggy depot Yeah it feels very frustrating, I can understand you. The RNG is very deciding about this situation. If you have enough ropes on the map, you can get up quickly and than it's not a big problem. But if not, it takes very long to get up. The problem is, it consumes many energy to get out of the cage. And if nobody is on 1st floor, it's hard for you to get charged. Of course you can pick up candy and go to Jack, but often there is no time to do this. Before the update the cages were useless, and it's a good direction with the idea of Le Box. Maybe it shouldn't be take so many charge to get out of the cage and it should be done faster.

i understand the need for the cages, dont get me wrong. teams that load in together are very efficient and there needs to be a slowdown function other than just throwing people down - its just really hard to come back from with no charge, no ropes, no teamwork in solo queue and all that lost time trying to escape the cage and making your way back up from 1st. i understand its a team game but not everyone is a team player, unfortunately. if it was a faster escape from the cages, and less charge taken, that would be better than losing the charge it takes to escape, progress bc its sent you back to 1st, time to break free from the cage, and a health state

Cages being strong is the point of them... otherwise they have no purpose, because you can always just thrown down from 4 to 1. If I can just throw down from 4 to 1, why would I risk caging if theres no advantage? Going all the way from 4 to 1 is nothing new and the reason why ropes exist.
