I only play magician and find it extremly difficult to know where every important buildings are like the rails to go up and often I don't know wich floors the bunnies can go to at the moment because I don't know wich buildings are open, where they lead and such. It's often the case that I patrol level 1 and 2 without even knowing that some gates are open to floor 3 wich gives bunnies large amount of time to find the way to level 4 without my knowledge before it's too late. you can't expect new players to know where everything leads and are. so maybe make a key that when pressed highlight the interactables things on the map other than just magic booths.

I mean thats what the sound notifications are for? Of course new players won't know but you just keep playing until you learn how the assets usually form at least thats how I did it.
I should not have to memorize all the layout and interactable locations and destinations just to have a fighting chance
As a new bunny, I have the same problem as the new killer. The new bunny is not familiar with the location of the mechanism and the opening information. And because the signal only exists for a few seconds, it is enough for old bunnys because they know where they are, but for new, they will lose their destination

But my opinion is that avoiding revealing too much information about the activation of map mechanisms is also a part of the game. Because randomized stitching of maps can prevent players from becoming familiar with the map through memorization, leading to the game becoming competitive and losing vitalit.
I think the lack of info is good for both sides. As you play more you get the hang of it, having a lot of stuff visually clutter the map might not be appealing, also wouldnt want some auras to block noise indicators maybe depending on how this idea could be implemented. Could be good, but could also be bad. 
I think its fine as it is and I'm also a new player this is my fourth day of playing and I've mostly already gotten the main layouts.
I'm adding this to all map discussions that I can, should add Map Boards. In a traditonal carnival isn't there map posters with the locations of the activites. My idea is to add on each floor a board for both bunny and magi, on what's unlocked they have to run up to the board and see lightbulbs on whats unlocked. This board can feature a unique design showcasing the "names" of locations ( including a you are here big X ), while adding to the environment a cool poster showcasing art designs for the activities. Would love feedback and spread word if you like thanks!

I will disagee with everyone who disagrees with OP; I want the information handed to me on a silver platter, and having to learn every map is a big reason I dislike DBD so much
(And this is coming from someone who's played a LOT of DBD)
Information should not be a limited resource, and the only thing you're doing by making it harder to access is limiting your playerbase
Don't clutter the screen, but by all means tell the player things
