So I like the lost hat. I have seen some issues with it. In alot of cases as soon as it appears 1 of the bunnies stops trying to progress and starts looking for the hat. This hurts the team as a whole since now they are down a guy. I admit I have done this thinking more people were on 4th. I have also seen several bunnies not even trying to progress the map. They find a radar and then camp first floor waiting for the final timer. This is even worst as it leaves the team down a bunny through out the whole match.

What I personally think might work better. The hat only spawns when there is 1 bunny left on the map for whatever reason. If the last bunny finds it they escape, but if the magician finds it they can grab the final bunny through the hat and kill them. To compensate for this nerf to the hat, the hat no longer requires a Radar to find and use it.

This will give a fighting chance to the final bunny, and prevent the last 10 min from dragging due to a bunny hiding in a corner cuz the hat was destroyed.

I had quite a few games where my teammates blatantly refused to do any objectives. Instead, they just collected as many crafting materials as possible and then used the hat to escape. Maybe the hat should only spawn once the final exits are opened and/or when only one bunny is left alive?

i kinda agree but these conditions imo are too restrictive if you have a first time bunny or magi

make it like minute variations depending on alive people like 4/4 alive bunnies get 1:15 mins to search or smth. but keep the endgame system

Yeah the Lost Hat is kinda bad because it just encourages players to not actually play the game and instead just find a Radar ASAP and then sit on 1F doing nothing until the hat spawns.

The Hat its a hatch like in dbd. The last standing bunny can escape with it. so... its a great function.

I don’t think it’s really the same as camping. The Lost Hat is designed as a comeback mechanic, similar to the hatch in DBD. It’s meant to give the last bunny a fair chance instead of forcing a guaranteed loss. If the Magician just camps the area and waits out the timer, that goes against the purpose of the mechanic and removes the tension that makes those final moments exciting.

On top of that, the Lost Hat has to be searched with the radar before it even becomes visible – it’s invisible until then. That means it’s not just “handed out for free,” there’s effort required to actually find it.

And in situations where things are otherwise hopeless – for example, when the killer is permanently camping Floor 4 and throwing bunnies down again and again – then at least one bunny should be able to escape through the Lost Hat. That keeps the flow of the match fair and engaging, instead of ending in a one-sided stalemate.

I made this post last alpha after running into several bunnies who just stayed on first floor waiting for the hat. Now it seems radars are ALOT more rare.
