#Magician should be able to pull up the rope.

Okay, but then let's talk about some alternatives. Magicians are really guarding the spots - even can close gates which you'd open previously. Also, it wont be worth of risk - if Magician is going after you and you are ready to get throwned if you would be able to leave rope for your teammates.
Magician have 3 impostors, so he can camp every 3 mechanisms on floor. Add rope to it - it would be very hard to reach upper floors. Youll need to make noise again to go upper and will get caught again, because he knows there is a rope.
Rope is very nice for late game to speed it up.
If there will be not much time and he would throw everyone out of 4th floor and then pull the ropes - he could save himself soo many time and keep camping again on lower floors
Rope already takes a long time to climb up which I think is punishing enough xd
Yes, but going from the overall time you would need to do rope instead of an objective and the benefits of having no sound notifs, makes a lot of difference.
This game is about getting sneaky
I understand that rope is important for bunnies but the thing is that.. If we see it from the perspective of progression in game, the bunnies have a way of "saving" that progression bug magician doenst.
When bunnies get to the floors above, wich is the objective for them, they can "save" it with rope. The magician objective is to prevent it and kill, but when a bunny sets a rope down you cant do anything anymore about it, you just lost that floor, and that would be okay if the magician had another way to "save" his progress but he doesnt have it because it doesnt matter if magician find bunnies and got some gears out in the meantime, because bunnies can just use oilers and recover everything
Considering it i think magician shoud have a way to save his progression in game. It could be for removing ropes at some point of the game or we had oilers significantly reduced in the game because if you think about it, if magician finds you.. Its okay you just will for sure find oil some where so what is the point of hiding? The best thing is just run and do the objectives as fast as possible because magician doenst have pressure, only if he manages to kill someone, but if bunnies are good or the magician cant/doenst tunnel it will take forever and is a really boring thing to do for both sides
Also, if magician is able to remove the ropes, it will be much more important for bunnies to play stealth so they dont get thrown down and are able to set the rope again for their teammates and if magician is able to get everyone down again he just played good and would be nice to have some reward for that
Like if you manage to throw everyone from 4th floor it feels good because they will have to do some objectives again and if magician knows there isnt anyone there anymore he just recovered that floor.. And why that only happens at 4th floor? Because they have no rope there
there has been talks about magician being able to get ride of rope, or pull out gears, let me just say if your able remove all progress from the bunnies its gonna be completely demotivating to play. The ability to make a level of progress for the bunnies that can't just be undone is very important. And placing a rope doesn't mean the floor is instantly lost, I've been is some games where the magician kept closing the doors and would hat trick bunnies off the rope constantly.
That said I do get the frustration on the Magician's part, this last test the game state was just blitzing to the end as fast as possible, oils and ropes were plentiful, and bunnies could do a lot without needing to charge back up. I think it would be better for the game to focus on both on adjusting those resources down, and on the magician counteractive tools like the ticket takers.
Yea that's the point, removing all progress is really bad, but that is happening for magician.. Maybe if oil was really limited, like all bunnies spawn with one oil and you can give it to a friend and you cant find it in the map anymore.
Maybe magician could do something to prevent recovering gears.. Idk it looks like a very complex aspect of the game, but i think it shouldnt stay the way it is now. I think both sides should be able to keep their progress, if one side cant do it then the other have to be more limited doing so
i think the best middle point for this is making the oil and rope a lot of rare (i dont know how much is rare but for what i saw they allways find it easily)
in the end the bunnys take a lot of battery and time to climb it soo the magician if he notice it he need to guard it because he has the magic hat trick for helping
and impostors soo this mean if a bunny climb it he need a friend to help with the impostor
soo yeah i dont think there is the need to give this meccanic of removing it but i think it would be good if he had a notification when it is put at least
take my suggestion with a grain of salt because i didnt play i just watched a lot of videos
probably new peoples will not be happy about it because u need to manage more stuff but hey its the killer role doing this
what about a mechanism that makes the rope temporarily unavailable? like let's say he yanks it back up and it slowly starts rolling down again?
because I gotta say that yes, the rope thing does feel a lot like you're "losing the floor"... Because even when you close the doors and everything your chances of catching them midway on the rope is not good since you're busy patrolling the other doors and floors. And when you leave a fake there it doesn't work since they just need to walk without running and its ineffective...
so essentially, it doesn't matter what you do as a magician. If they have the rope you have no way to actually monitor what level they're on, which I can get behind as part of the magicians job but it plainly feels like a lose-lose situation no matter what you do for this case.
to some degree ticketmen can help with the ropes (as many ticketmen are covering the rope locations, which takes away their sneaky aspect tremendously.
Impostors were already mentioned which let you temporary cover the rope and the simple fact that you are very very exposed when climbing and its fairly easy for the magi to hat trick you from above or below if they see you.
Also many booth locations that have immediate and prime view of ropes and great oppertunities to hat trick, so you can also simply check in on the ropes once in a while once you spotted one.... all in all I think its an ok mechanic
The traps doesnt work on the ropes so the ropes its a free breach to the upper floor unless im doing something wrong lol
the impostor doesnt work on the rope when you put it on top?
No, they can just walk through it
And it won’t trigger
ohhh
Maybe give the ropes durability after few times of usage rope cant be used again something like that
