#Water ISRU???

with the mod i found to ISRU deuterium - https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/topic/228493-pri-a-small-patch-for-obtaining-liquid-deuterium-through-electrolysis-of-water/

it does that by using the fuel cell to turn water into deuterium, but now, i need to get water. but, the water mining functionality on the drills added by the mod seems to not work, or maybe only work in some spesific way I havent figured out yet, idk.

So, i still need a way to get water.

so far, the only thing ive figured out I could do, is ISRU lh2 and ox normally, and use the lh2 ox fuel cell ability to generate water, and then use that to isru deuterium fuel. it comes with some downsides, as it only works when I need electricity, so if I have large unretractable solar panel arrays, it will not work. so, im trying to see if theres a better way than that to ISRU water for the deuterium fuel.

ive managed to fill two fusion fuel tanks of fusion fuel (3.75m sphere sized) but im probably going to try that to see if it can be done easier, as with current setup, the only source of electricity has to be from the fuel cell water generators, or else they wont run.

does the water drilling only exist in spesific locations?

i realised, it seems to only exist in small patches, which will be complex for tot, as in the kcalbeloh system there is not signal

like it seems using the survey scanner works, but hopefully the ground recource scanner also works, that doesnt need connection

after teleporting a scansat to tot to test it out, its interesting, the perform orbital survey feature wants me to be at a distance that is outside tot's SOI, but theres a thing that tells me that there is water on tot, just no way of seeing where.

ok, i think i found an area with water, it happened to be near the area of my old ISRU plant from a previous mission

so, essentially for water isur, you need to find an area that has water, which is kind of rare

it does work, just so far it seems it does not work in places where I dont have connection to the KSC, like on tot, sulucos moon, in the kcalbeloh system.

ok so it seems by itself, the water mod does not work, it seems to need the MKS mod to actually spawn in areas with water, as this exact location I am at had water i could mine, and i used it to make fusion fuel in an earlier test

ok but MKS completely ruins extraplanetary launchpads for me, so I need to find a way to disable lots of MKS features to only get its water drills features
