i spawned it in again, put the brake on, and messed around in the control room iva for 1.5 minutes
by the time i came back i was sliding sideways at 7 m/s

I had it happen too at some point but i don't remember exactly what i did to fix it

change the friction control setting on the wheels to be higher (its different than traction control)
though that sliding sideways at 7 m/s might mean it could also be a mod issue, but idk

Wait did you try increasing the friction of the wheels? Like click button that says friction control auto so it says friction control manual, and a slider should appear
Also maybe check what your wheels steering is set to, it may be causing issues, idk though
