How do I make this adapter perfectly on the side of the rocket

everytime i try and put a side separator it always messes up the angle and its super annoying, does anyone know how to fix this? or is this just how the game works

r changes between the 2 point conection angles r c does mirror or symetrical have to single click to raise the number of attach points
